DONNA JENSEN
About Me
Donna was raised in Southern California and has a B.A in Drama. She was born again at the age of 29 and within 5 months she was accepted into Bible School in Los Angeles. Since she had a degree, the first year was waived and she found herself, as a new convert, ministering in "Skid Row". She had never been an alcololic or a drug addict but she identified with their hopelessness. The first person she ever prayed for was lying on the sidewalk, shot in the head. She has authored 5 books and self-published 45 individual short stories from her life. She served as a missionary in Taiwan, teaching school during the SARS epidemic and the start of the war in Iraq. Now, in her late seventies she is doing a new work, combining storytelling with 2 teaching sessions. The book, IN HIS STEPS, written by Charles Sheldon, was the inspiration for the monolog, and has made her the Christian she is today. (Call 814-249-2180 for more information.)

IT'S NOT THE THINGS YOU DON'T DO
Before I became a Christian, I thought of Christianity as a list of things you don't do. After I came to know the Lord, I found the focus needs to be on the things we should do. That means that if we have it in our power to help and we withhold a blessing, it's a sin and it brings a curse. James 4:17. We are to have the mind of Christ and relate to others as He would, to be His hands extended. Right where you are, Jesus will bring people across your path that He wants you to help: the lost, the poor, the sick, the homeless, widows, orphans, prisoners, and then the choice will be yours. Isiah 57:5-9 In this lost and hurting world, people need to see Jesus. Do they see Him in you? Are you a doer of the word and not a hearer only? Can people looking at you see that there is anything to being a Christian? As you seek and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit one decision at a time, people will be able to see that there is a great deal to being a Christian, and that you in deed are one of them. What an adventure you will have ! Please read on and allow me to share some of my adventures with you, boasting only in the cross of Christ. Gal. 6:14
